What’s up, guys?! I’m going to cut straight to the chase. Due to A LOT of things happening in not just my own, but Chris’s personal life as well, I must deliver the sad, sad news that Fade 2 Black IS closing.
My spouse and I took a trip back to GA to visit with our families this past weekend, and that trip really put things into perspective for me. I know that there’s a pandemic happening at the moment, but there’s so many other things I could and definitely SHOULD be focusing my attention on at the moment. I feel like I’ve been putting this off for about a month now, because I’ve lost the love and the motivation to carry me through this game a while ago.
It’s crazy.. Back in December I was literally looking into spending money so this board can rise to the top when people Google certain words. I had even looked into buying t-shirts for 25 bucks a pop. Things have happened since, and in a way? I’m a little relieved. I didn’t need to spend that money. I didn’t need to continue focusing on e-fedding when I had other things that required my attention. Most importantly, you amazing guys and gals did NOT deserve to waste time brainstorming and writing amazing work for us when our hearts just aren’t in it the way they were before. And that’s just me, speaking for me. Chris is going through his own things as well.
I’m incredibly sorry to everyone for the news. The timing isn’t the greatest, given we were about to hold our second PPV. And at the very same time, I’d like to thank EVERYONE who was a part of Fade 2 Black, past and present. Even those of you who signed up for the new era and decided to leave. I appreciate every single one of you for your hard work, your effort, and your good attitude. That’s one thing I have to say - especially about the newer people we scouted out on Twitter - you guys have all been great and super easy to work with. It was a damn good setup except.. Life happens. And as I said before, I personally didn’t want to waste anyone’s time any longer!
To all of you, even the lurkers that aren’t even in, or never were in this fed. GOOD LUCK! I hope the absolute best for you in both this hobby AND your personal lives - NURTURE EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE YOU HOLD NEAR AND DEAR TO YOUR HEART.. And never allow the game to let you lose sight of those things! <3 you all. I’m going to go enjoy retirement.
Love you, Fade 2 Black. Forever and always.
